Practical Comms 220 MHz (1.25 Meter) Jungle Antenna

The Practical Comms 220 MHz Jungle Antenna is a lightweight, field-deployable antenna built specifically for the 1.25-meter / 220 MHz amateur radio band.

This is a single-band 220 MHz antenna designed around the same Jungle Antenna concept used in Practical Comms Field Kits. The radial elements incorporate paracord extensions, allowing the shorter 220 MHz elements to maintain the proper physical layout while remaining compatible with the standard Jungle Antenna frame.

You can build your own frame buy cutting 3 straight sticks 20-22 inches in length and tying them into a triangle. When inventory allows, quick deploy frames ate available for individual purchase.

If you already own a Practical Comms Field Kit, this gives you a simple way to add dedicated 220 MHz capability without purchasing an entirely different deployment system.

The antenna can be quickly suspended from a tree, pole, structure, or other elevated support, providing a practical way to get your antenna above surrounding terrain when operating in the field.

Connection: The antenna feed point uses a BNC female connector and is designed to connect directly to coax equipped with a BNC male connector.

For direct connection to many handheld radios—including common AnyTone, Baofeng, BTECH UV-Pro and similar radios—an appropriate SMA-to-BNC adapter will be required. Compatible adapters are also available separately through Practical Comms.
